30th Anniversary Matterhorn Souvenir Rock. c.2005

Around 2005, a hole was cut in the 1959 Matterhorn to enhance the effect of Tinker Bell flying above the castle at night during the fireworks. Thoughtfully, Disney knew collectors would love to own a piece of the Matterhorn, so they packaged and sold a limited edition of 1000 Matterhorn rocks, each one unique, to commemorate Disneyland's 50th anniversary in 2005.
